Yalagan Registered Training (RTO ID: 91627) is simply known around Australia as YRT. We have a great team in WA and our team share a strong can-do philosophy.
We are a leading Supply Nation Certified Indigenous-led Registered Training Organisation. We have been training since 2005, with a pedigree in Construction, Leadership, Information Communications & Technology, Rail, Driving & Plant Operations, Manufacturing & High-Risk Licenses through either connected remote delivery or face-to-face training.
The Role
We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Youth Trainer to join our expanding team in Welshpool. This position offers full-time arrangements tailored to individual preferences. Working hours are from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm or as needed.

Requirements:
- Police clearance or ability to obtain one prior to employment
- RTO experience
- Construction Training experience
- Working with children check or ability to obtain one prior to employment
- Ability to engage with young adults
- Engaging in and mentoring of students
- Creating and maintaining student records
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Evaluate courses, programs, assessment tools and processes in conjunction with head trainer and assessor
- Staying up to date with industry requirements, including current legislation and technological advances

As a Youth Trainer, you will undertake the delivery of training, assist in the development of associated materials and other ad hoc tasks as requested.
You will be fully supported by an experienced leadership team who will share your commitment to safety and culture of professionalism.
To be considered for the role you should have the following:
- Enjoy working with students/youth as young as 15
- TAE40116 Certificate IV Training and Assessment (or higher) – this is desired but not required for the role
- 2+ years’ workplace experience training and or working with students/ youth
- 2+ years working with an RTO – this is desired not required
- National Police Check required or ability to obtain one prior to employment
- Australian work rights required
- A pre-employment medical required
