Be Recruitment is working with a well know multi-state not-for-profit organisation to recruit several Youth Workers in the Northern Rivers NSW area, suburbs include Uralba, Casino, Goonellabah, Tweed, Lismore and Alstonville.
About the role
The Youth Worker is a professional individual who works alongside young people to encourage independence and skill building. The support that is provided can include but is not limited to; personal care, domestic assistance, accessing social and community activities, education, and behaviour support
About you
Whilst qualifications and experience are important, the right attitude is what we are looking for. If you have always wanted to make a difference but never got around to obtaining a relevant qualification OR you have got a qualification but haven't been given the opportunity to gain experience, this might be the opportunity for you.
Minimum requirements

• Be passionate about supporting young people
• Be committed to providing an exceptional level of care and support
• Australian Working Rights (Student Visa's not included)
• Ability to work a 7-day shift work roster
• Willingness to participate in pre-employment medical checks
• Two professional references (Manager or Supervisor)

You must currently hold or be willing to obtain the following

• A Working with Children Check
• NDIS Worker Check
• National Criminal History Check
• First Aid Certificate (Provide First Aid; Course Code HLTAID003)
• Full Australian Driver's License
• Access to a reliable 4+ seater vehicle
• Fully comprehensive car insurance

Desirable

• Diploma of Community Services
• Vaccination against COVID-19 is strongly encouraged but not mandatory

Remuneration and reward

• Part-time Permanent employees will have access to salary packaging

• Permanent hourly rate start at $32.21 + shift penalties
• Casual hourly rate start $40.26 + shift penalties
