We are currently seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our dynamic team as a 1st Year Boilermaker Apprentice, located in Cavan. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside seasoned professionals, gaining hands-on experience while completing formal training in a supportive and vibrant work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist senior boilermakers in the fabrication, assembly, installation, and maintenance.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to understand project requirements.
- Operate and maintain various hand and power tools, such as grinders, drills, welding equipment, and cutting torches.
- Perform welding, cutting, grinding, and fitting tasks to ensure accurate assembly and alignment of metal components.
- Assist in the inspection and testing of completed structures to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
- Always adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to promote a safe work environment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements:
- Cert II in Engineering (preferred, not essential)
- Basic knowledge of welding techniques and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions and confined spaces.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions from experienced boilermakers.
- Successful candidate will be required to undergo pre employment checks such as a medical.
