SalaryThe College is seeking applications for the position of Teacher Aide, temporary part time four days per week, commencing on 29 April until 11 December 2024. The successful candidate will actively support the Catholic ethos of our schools in the tradition of Blessed Edmund Rice.
The role of the Teacher Aide is to provide support to the Teacher and to assist the class with its programs which contribute to the development of lifelong learners. They also work as part of a larger team in providing ongoing support on excursions and caring for the students’ wellbeing. The requirements of the role include:
- experience in working with small groups of students with disabilities
- a Senior First Aid Certificate
- a current WWCC number
- strong IT / Computer skills including the use of PCs and iPads
- able and willing to work as part of a school-wide team of professionals
- willing to undertake training and committed to lifelong learning
- participation in field trips/excursions, co-curricular activities and camps
- a Certificate III in Education Support is highly desirable
- ability to drive a 12-seater school bus is highly advantageous
The successful applicant will be able to build good rapport with students with special needs and be able to work collaboratively with colleagues.
