The opportunity:
Reporting to the Materials Handling General Manager the National Service Manager is focused on managing effective aftermarket service support and field engineering to our customers, branches and dealers. Based in our Hornsby head office, you will be managing a small team of technical and product experts, whilst providing support to frontline service teams located across our branches across Australia and into select international markets.
This is a strategic role encompassing proactive customer support based on telematics systems, technical support for frontline service staff, service training, continued system improvements and general management of Materials Handling aftermarket support.
The role requires a strong customer focus and ability to find solutions that maximize customers effective use of their equipment. At times customer visits and work onsite with service technicians will be required.
As both a manufacturer of the Omega heavy truck range and distributor of other well renowned products, this is a unique opportunity to support both locally made trucks as well as imported equipment. The right candidate would have significant capacity to stamp their own mark onto the ongoing success and evolution of the business unit and how we support our customers in the field.
What we are looking for:
A proven aftermarket / Service Manager after a new challenge. A strong understanding of capital equipment is required with the successful candidate likely having notable experience in the forklift and Materials Handling industry.
They need to enjoy a dynamic environment, have strong problem-solving skills and a keen focus on the customer. Additionally, the candidate should have:
- Strong mechanical/technical proficiency
- Confidence and strong communication skills (written and verbal)
