You will report to the Senior Program Officer – Governance and Evaluation (SPO), who manages a team of 3 direct reports and 1 graduate, but the majority interaction will be between the SPO and key contacts within the team with day-to-day responsibilities for administering the program.
The responsibilities will be
- To produce documentation of standard business practices in a variety of formats (procedures, process maps / flowcharts), using various tools (including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio), through the coordination of first drafts from business teams, and directly drafting, proof-reading, and redrafting documentation (from scratch, or drafts at various stages of progress submitted by other teams). The information required to do this will be collected by reviewing existing documentation, and from workshops, meetings, and interviews with key staff, facilitated by the SPO or the worker, as appropriate.
- Ideally you will identify potential shortcomings / opportunities for improvement in current and proposed business processes, communicate these, and propose possible remedies or improvements. But this is not necessary.
- Critical is the ability to write accurate, Plain English instructions (in procedure documents) and descriptions of processes (in process maps) using the information collected.
- Must also be able to use Styles in Microsoft Word to format and structure documentation according to the established template and departmental style guide.
**Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates strongly encouraged to apply.
Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
Applications received after the due date may be considered for similar roles.
