Halcyon Knights is seeking an experienced A06 Project Officer to join State Government Department based in the outer northern suburbs of Brisbane. The successful candidate must be available for an immediate commencement.

Key Responsibilities:
The Project Officer, reporting to the Program Manager, Culture Change, is responsible for:
- Managing the development, implementation, and monitoring of project plans and progress, including coordinating various activities and resources to achieve project objectives.
- Documenting policies and procedures to support employee and industry understanding and compliance with business and operational processes.
- Coordinating project initiatives, including planning and performance evaluation processes.
- Identifying, evaluating, and managing risks through appropriate mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Resolving operational problems and assisting in the development and implementation of initiatives, policies, processes, and systems for effective program administration.
- Coordinating the implementation of policies, practices, and procedures related to the project.
- Preparing reports and submissions on specific program matters and responding to related inquiries.
- Developing processes and systems to enhance project completion.
- Participating in designated project and change activities.
- Supporting required training efforts by documenting requirements and ensuring delivery.
- Tracking implementation progress and reporting risks to program leads.
- Monitoring team resource utilization and project progress against budget, escalating deviations to the Program Manager.
- Providing secretariat support for project governance groups to ensure effective implementation of project objectives.
- Proactively building and maintaining positive relationships through consultation, negotiation, and communication with internal and external stakeholders, networks, and service providers.
- Demonstrating ethical behavior and integrity as required by relevant regulations.
Candidates will be assessed based on the following competencies:

- Excellent attention to detail, along with analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in project management and the application of supporting processes, tools, and methodology from planning to effective implementation of project objectives, utilizing organizational and planning skills, including prioritization and time management.
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities and escalate issues in a timely manner.
- Capable of managing program information using various system tools, including MS Office Suite and Teams.
- Making sound decisions based on analysis of available information and judgment application.
- Supporting a culture of achievement, striving for quality outcomes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
