About the role:
A fantastic opportunity to join Box Hill Institute on an ongoing basis as our Academic Course Manager for Early Childhood Education.
You will have the opportunity to lead teaching and learning activities to ensure highly innovative programs and engaging learning resources to students enrolled in the Early Childhood Education degree.
Within this role you will be managing a complex team including teachers and professional employees to deliver quality teaching and learning whilst also providing support, coaching and building employee capabilities. You will be responsible for managing teacher work plans and performance to ensure currency of the full range of teaching methodologies and delivery modes.
As the Academic Course Manager you will be managing annual business plans and budgets, communicating strategic goals and directions as well as building strong working relationships with various stakeholders. You will manage educational governance ensuring educational program compliance.

This role forms part of our College of Higher Education within the Educational Delivery Division and is based at our Elgar Road Campus in Box Hill.
About You:
- Hold a Master’s degree and/or currently undertaking a Doctorate in the field of Early Childhood Teaching
- Relevant research or scholarship publication record or equivalent (Desirable)
- Extensive demonstrated experience with advanced knowledge in Early Childhood Teaching
- Proven experience leading and managing Higher Education teaching programs with a strong understanding of relevant policies and procedures
- Highly skilled educational leadership abilities and passionate about mentoring and motivating a high performance team
- High level ability to problem solve; analyse issues and propose positive, workable solutions
- Demonstrates high level awareness of and responsiveness to people from a broad range of diverse backgrounds and emotional contexts
- Listens and builds strong working relationships across all stakeholders
- Ability to provide a safe and support work and learning environment for employees and students
