Nova Institute of Technology is a well-established privately owned and operated RTO based in Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide. We deliver nationally recognised courses in Hospitality, Management, Carpentry, Painting & Building to international students.
About the role
We are currently seeking to employ a high performing Academic Manager, with comprehensive VET compliance and training experience who is highly motivated, innovative and passionate to join a fast growing and dynamic International Institute.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan training delivery of all courses, manage the assessment process and ensure each individual’s training is managed and documented.
- Manage the day-to-day requirements (facilities and equipment) of the training function to ensure they adequately meet the staff development and training requirements
- Assist in the design of training plans, program outlines, and session plans
- Review training packages and manage transitions for unit and qualification changes
- Development of Training and Assessment Strategies
- Manage trainers and assessors, including recruitment, workload, performance, vocational competence, currency, and professional development.
- Plan, facilitate, analyse, and act on feedback from assessment validation
- Conduct end-of-course administration checks including collection and collation of student surveys and questionnaires
- Ensure timely coordination of assessment evidence collection, file audit, liaise with trainers, and issue certificates.
About you
- Cert IV Training and Assessment or higher qualification
- A thorough understanding of all RTO compliance requirements, including Standards for RTOs 2015, and CRICOS
- Demonstrated experience liaising with ASQA
- Experience in developing and implementing policy
- High level of attention to detail
