Job Description
In this permanent role, based in Epworth’s corporate office, you will be responsible for the delivery of exceptional financial reporting and advice for Epworth’s Academic & Medical Services (AMS) and Research teams. You will be part of the Epworth corporate finance team and report to the Group Director FP&A and Treasury. This role will also work closely with the Chief Medical Officer.
You will make an impact by:
- Ensuring Annual Operational and Capital Expenditure budgets for AMS and Research are completed within agreed timelines in conjunction with the Corporate Finance team.
- Undertaking monthly review and report on performance against budget for the Academic & Medical and Research business units.
- Developing or supporting development of business cases for the introduction of new services and major purchases for both AMS and Research
- Providing expert advice and solutions to address any issues with underlying performance of the AMS and Research business units
To be successful in this role…
With a strong background and experience in a hospital / or research setting, you will be able to demonstrate that you have
- Relevant post-graduate financial qualifications (e.g. CPA/CA)
- A strong and supportive working style
- Effective influencing and relationship management skills
- A proven track record of delivery of excellent financial and business outcomes
- Ability to manage a number of key stakeholders and timelines in a continuously evolving environment
- Prior experience in a hospital research function will be looked upon favourably (not mandatory)
- Prior experience in using Technology One will also be looked upon favourably (not mandatory)
