We currently service clients between Tewantin and Caloundra with multiple sites across the coast.
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE
Provide leadership, program development and support for Accommodation Services within HomeCaring Supported Independent Living.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing/ relationship development
- Community engagement where required via interagencies/forums
- Connections with other providers - Develop relationships with NDIA
- Develop relationships with transition coordinators and other relevant providers
- Maintain relationships within HomeCaring
Recruitment & HR
- Recruitment and supervision of team leaders
- Recruitment of support workers
- Provide training schedule for TL's and SW's
- Ensure staff meet probity and compliance requirements
Compliance
- Ensure Workflows and Notices are in place in all services
- Ensure staff adhere to policy and procedure
- Ensure sites comply with relevant legislation
- Ensure any restrictive practices are monitored and reported
Client development
- Develop relationships with Support Coordinator / Accommodation Business Development Manager
- Develop relationships with key personnel and stakeholders
Finance
- Contribute to the development of budgets
- Ensure homes meet budgets
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a House Manager / Team Leader within the disability sector
- Experience with complex needs and mental health
- Proven leadership skills
- Knowledge and understanding of Restrictive Practices and Mandatory Reporting
- Tertiary qualification in the disability, social work or relevant space
- Hold a valid Blue Care, Yellow Card, Police Check or willingness to obtain
