AddressAccommodation Manager-Far North Queensland
We are seeking an experienced Accommodation Manager for this busy venue located in remote Far North Queensland.
The successful candidate will have excellent experience in managing accommodation, including hands on front office work, accounts and also food & beverage experience.
Working with a small team of staff, you will enjoy a laid back island lifestyle where you can immerse yourself in the local community.
Full Manual or Auto drivers licence and clean driving history required as an authorised drivers licence will need to be applied for prior to commencement. This is a senior position and the successful candidate will be responsible for airport pickups.
The location is an amazing mix of culture, history, and untouched natural beauty. Fantastic fishing and beautiful sunsets.
The venue caters to the local, tourist and corporate market and offers accommodation, an onsite restaurant & bar and conference facilities.
Commence: Immediate Start
- Full-Time Position-Level 5 Guest Services-Includes Annual Leave-Sick Leave etc
- $27.83 per hour Monday-Friday
- + Penalty Rates if required to work outside the normal hours
- Free Accommodation and Duty Meals (One meal per shift)
- Shared Staff house off site, own bedroom; shared bathroom, living and dining
Require experience in:
- Reservations system (Guestpoint)
- Taking bookings, check in and checkout of guests, finalising guest accounts
- Liaising with Online Travel Agents (OTAs) i.e. Expedia, Booking.com
- Reception/Customer Service
- Cash Handling
- Accounts Payable/Receivable
- Company Banking
- Experience in other hotel & food and beverage departments
Highly regarded:
- Reckon with XERO
- RMLV ideal but not essential
In addition to the above, the successful applicant will receive training in and be required to perform the following tasks:
- Takeaway alcohol orders
- Incoming/Outgoing calls and message taking
- Undertake housekeeping room checks
- Maintenance of company website, Facebook page & OTA websites with current information
