This role will coordinate and undertake complex and sensitive accommodation assessment and placement services to support international students accessing quality homestays managed by International Education Services (IES). The position accredits and works closely with homestays to ensure they are appropriately screened, trained and supported whilst in the program. This is achieved by providing timely and accurate advice, assistance and direction in relation to student welfare, accommodation requirements, legislative standards, policy compliance and IES procedures. They provide an escalation point for schools and homestay families in relation to complex issues and queries, including interpreting policies, conducting sensitive conversations with a range of stakeholders to resolve conflict and advise the correct application of procedures, to enable accreditation and compliance with Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) and Child Protection legislative requirements.
The position also undertakes daily work within the Student Services Team by leading the allocation of work and mentoring to the Accommodation Support Officers and contributing to the shared vision of strategically recruiting and retaining quality homestays using evidence based decisions to inform targeted outcomes. They collaborate and communicate effectively with the wider Accommodation Team to share knowledge and expertise to ensure positive outcomes for students, homestays and agents.

The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.
The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN -EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.
