About the Role:
We are currently looking for an Account Director or Group Director to play a primary role in leading teams and overseeing a major client project in Australia. The Account Director / Group Director will take part in broader internal planning and initiatives, culture, training and development, and business growth.
Client and Account Responsibilities
Leadership: Develop a strong and mature partnership with colleagues, clients and partners alike that sets the foundation for great work to be produced, to mutual benefit and brilliant business outcomes
Team: Oversee a team as project lead when we scale up teams around major event activations and programs
Experiences: Take full ownership of the process from brief, response and creation of B2B and B2C events, activations, and promotional programs where the client brief is to create live, or virtual, experiences
Creativity and Production: Have a clear idea what briefs require a clear production/executional response, and what briefs pose opportunity to add a stronger creative lens and idea, working with the client to plan time and scopes accordingly, and developing good working relationships with production, creative and planning leads to be able to cast the right teams to the right briefs
Scoping and Budget: Manage scoping conversations with the client, including proposals/costings, resource planning (internal), and ongoing tracking and reporting
Business and Team Leadership Responsibilities
Be a trusted advisor to existing and prospective clients, advising on strategies and campaigns for their brand to create awareness and reach consumers
Build strong relationships and an understanding of our particular expertise in commercial consulting and partnerships, planning, creative campaign and design development, production, providing the ability to spot an opportunity and communicate our offering to clients
Work in partnership with Australian and APAC leadership to support new business, and communicate the agency’s brand proposition
Overall responsibility for project, account, or Key department budgets
About You:
7 - 10 + years’ of relevant experience
Have a passion for sport and entertainment
Experienced in leading complex cross-functional projects (inclusive of brand, digital, media, communications, and product streams) across diverse markets
Experience in partnerships (in any category, traditional or media) or in sports, gaming, or entertainment
A passionate and compassionate leader, able to oversee and inspire teams from planning through to execution
A brilliant communicator, able to articulate ideas, requirements, and expectations across all levels
