Account Executive

We at Region Media Group, publishers of Riotact, About Regional, Region Illawarra, Region Riverina and Cape York Weekly are Australia's fastest growing source of quality local news and conversation with our headquarters based in Canberra. Our platforms and social properties attract one of the largest digital and social media audiences in each region that we operate in including Canberra and its surrounding regions.

We are looking for an AccountExecutive to join our rapidly growing team and who will be responsible for the account management and content coordination for our business, community, and sporting partnerships.

With 260+ clients, the goal is to ensure the continuous development of local stories and strategic communications to deliver our clients exceptional results and exposure.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

• Manage client relationships and partnerships
• Prioritise tasks based on importance and urgency
• Contributing ideas at sales, marketing, and editorial meetings
• Stay up to date with industry trends
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to fulfil client partnerships
• Manage client content from the initial idea stage to the publishing stage
• Maintain a commercial content calendar and publishing schedule
• Create and presenting client campaign reports
• Protect organisations values by keeping information confidential

Knowledge, skills, training, and experience:

• 2+ years experience in a marketing, sales, customer service or related role
• Computer skills – must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and project management software, e.g. Trello.
• Strong analytical, organisational, and creative thinking skills
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
• Knowledge of data analysis and report writing
• The ability to understand and follow company policies and procedures
• The ability to work under pressure
• Have a keen eye for detail
• A professional and friendly demeanour
