About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager – Enterprise Sales the Business Development Manager is responsible for developing and expanding a group of existing customers and sourcing relationships with new clients and key decision-makers. You will develop new business opportunities and be accountable for meeting sales targets and KPIs.
You will identify growth opportunities and develop (and implement) strategies to win and increase the sales of OneStep Group services and capabilities within the Australian Market, primarily in your region; working collaboratively with the Practices and Delivery teams to ensure project scopes are accurate and meet client requirements and expectations.
Key responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Understand your target markets, including industry, company, project, company contacts and which market strategies can be used to attract clients.
- Develop and execute a sales plan that assists in the expansion of the OneStep Group customer base and achieves defined sales targets.
- Own your customers’ experience and journey, from solution proposition through transition to delivery.
- Maintain strong knowledge of OneStep Group service offerings and the ability to present them with intelligence and conviction.
- Develop and implement new sales initiatives to drive new business.
- Identify opportunities for business improvement and strategic new business opportunities.
- Update and prepare sales reports for management as required.
- Contribute effectively to regular sales meetings and wider sales strategy.
About You
You bring demonstrable ability to win new customers and understand how to leverage the considerable assets of your organisation to grow your accounts using your strong negotiation skills and ability to work to achieve win-win outcomes.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT sales with meaningful experience selling professional technology services or information security services across one or more of Cyber, Microsoft and /or Data & Analytics
- A drive and passion for new business development, with experience leveraging partners aligned to service capabilities.
- Experience selling into Victorian State Government, or the Banking and Finance sector with track record of growing accounts year on year OR
- Solution selling and / or value selling highly regarded.
- You have impeccable written and verbal communication skills, strong stakeholder engagement with an ability to build credibility both internally and externally at all levels.
- A collaborative team player who can work with others to drive growth across multiple service lines within a territory or account.
