Job description

MicrotechDPS is looking for a customer-obsessed Account Manager to join our rapidly growing Sales team. 

MicrotechDPS is a vibrant, progressive, and regionally-based business technology partner, that is on a mission to power customers’ visions. Our multi-disciplinary team provides IT Infrastructure & Software, Managed IT Services, Managed Print Services, Software Development & Digital Process Automation.

As an Account Manager, you’ll play a key role in helping MicrotechDPS provide the best of care to our existing customers, as well as boost business by finding new customers across regional NSW and Vic. You’ll enjoy working as part of a collaborative, fun, and supportive team. We’re looking for an ambitious and hungry Account Manager who enjoys building lasting relationships with their clients and over-achieving on sales targets!

About You

  • You’re an agile and reliable Account Manager. You’ll have at least 2 years’ experience working for a managed service provider or in technology sales, and will be familiar with CRM software (we use Salesforce). 

 

  • You’ll have experience in developing business development growth strategies. From researching new opportunities to finding viable income streams, you’ll have an in-depth knowledge of IT products (or be willing to develop it) and be confident in communicating value propositions. 

 

  • You’re great at taking care of customers. You have a genuine desire to connect and build close relationships based on trust, dependability, and connection. This requires getting to know your current and future customers better than anyone. 

 

  • You’re an excellent communicator. You’re personable, and you excel when communicating (both written and verbally). You've demonstrated mastery in product marketing skills like positioning, messaging, and pricing, and you know what it takes to provide extraordinary service with a meaningful impact. 

 

  • You’re a team player. You thrive when working collaboratively within a tight-knit team environment. You’ll enjoy mentoring and motivating others, while working together to find new ways to improve the customer experience. 

 

  • You’re solid at time management. You enjoy working with a high level of autonomy and be self-sufficient in managing your own time, calendar, and client records. You can keep the pulse on what's happening around you to ensure clients enjoy a seamless experience.

 

  • You have a high level of computer literacy. You’re pretty IT-savvy and can pick up new platforms and devices with ease. You’re also open-minded and have a natural curiosity for continuous learning and broadening your knowledge. 

 

Things You’ll Do

  • Be proactive in identifying and converting new clientele in multiple ways, including networking, referrals, referral partners/events, social media, cold calling.
  • Meet with clients to pitch and close new business opportunities. 
  • Manage relationships with existing clients and identify new sales opportunities. 
  • Develop business development growth strategies and plans. 
  • Prepare proposals and client presentations. 
  • Maximise client satisfaction by helping customers have the best possible experience with MicrotechDPS.
