The Role

As the Account Manager you will act as the conduit between the customer and JB HI-FI group, effectively becoming the customer advocate to ensure optimal outcomes. The role itself is multifaceted and fast paced, an ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial in their pursuit to meet individual sales targets, creative in their approach to new business development, and innovative in solution selling.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Build, develop, implement and execute a sales strategy to acquire new business, incorporate innovative approaches to showcase the value proposition of JB Hi-Fi Business
  • Initiate and maintain meaningful relationships with prospects and dormant customers to understand pain points and needs, to position JB Hi-Fi Business products and services accordingly
  • Collaborate with and leverage internal stakeholders and support teams effectively, seek out opportunities to utilize internal resources to meet customer needs and demands
  • Manage the sales cycle from start to finish from initial engagement, to discovery, to solution.
  • Create strategies for revenue growth over time and retention activities to maintain customer spend
  • Take ownership of a yearly revenue and gross profit target whilst meeting metrics on portfolio growth, monthly sales gross profit margins, and new customer acquisition targets
  • Actively seek out and meet with customers weekly and manage quarterly business reviews with larger spend customers. Get out in front of customers is key to success

About You

As an Account Manager you will thrive on the challenge of building long lasting relationships with potential new customers whilst having the ability to grow share-of-wallet for an optimal return on investment over time.  

You will also have:

  • Experience working within a fast-paced sales environment
  • Track record of achieving sales quotas and managing strategic pursuits
  • Experienced in engaging and onboarding new customers (net new logos)
  • Experienced in growing sales revenue and profitability across customer patch and individual customers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation and closing skills
  • Technology experience across IT hardware, software and services a plus (not mandatory)
  • Salesforce experience beneficial
