Reporting to a Seasoned National Account Manager, your focus will be supporting and driving sales across one of theirprominent National Retail Accounts. This account represents substantial sales revenue. You will represent their entire significantly branded product portfolio.
Responsibilities will include:
- Support in the management of their large account in terms of marketing programs, events, presentations, customer events, product demonstrations etc. within the context of the overall national sales plan
- Prepare pre-sale materials, including proposals, presentations, and competitive analyses.
- Identify opportunities for incremental account growth through market research, competitor analysis, sales performance and client satisfaction
- Manage key relationships and deal directly with key account staff such as buyers and merchandise staff to maintain and grow one of their major accounts
- Range/sales review and SKU analysis to provide insight for senior management
- Putting together pricing strategies and promotional programmes
- All related ad-hoc administration
- At least 3 years’ experiencein working and dealing with supermarket chains i.e. Coles and Woolworths alongside National Account Management gained from within an FMCG import wholesaler/distributor ideally with fresh merchandise categories into the retail
- Exceptional communication skills, as well as in-depth analytical and sales relationship-building abilities, combined with maturity, dedication and a proactive approach.
- A successful track record in sales and account management is essential and consumer exposure to FMCG products would be highly advantageous.
- Well-developed administration / analytical skills inclusive of the usage of CRM, Excel and PowerPoint
