Are you a claims management professional with experience across Workcover claims and/or eligibility; We would be open to someone who has an occupational therapy background looking to move into more strategic operations in the longer term.
This position suits up-and-coming case managers, Occupational rehab providers or workover premium case managers who are looking to further their experience and exposure to the wider workover programme.
This position will see you work alongside the senior Account Managers to gain further understanding as you build your repertoire of skills in this space.
You will be responsible for developing and maintaining a positive and engaged client relationship built on providing expert advice for any claim-impacting and related questions or concerns. The position will develop your sound understanding of claims from a Victorian perspective. However, you will also gain experience across additional jurisdictions which will give your career a distinct advantage. The role will be working across clients on a national level, so you must be open to learning other state's processes as well.
Required experience and competencies:
- Demonstrated claims and/or Occupational rehabilitation experience within the Victorian Worker's compensation scheme is required.
- Effective work management/time management and organisational skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Willing to learn and develop your knowledge and skills in worker's compensation
- Influential and calm in all situations, including conflict, able to gain a resolution
- Customer service experience with a focus on customer satisfaction

- Understanding of Workers Compensation Legislation

Position Responsibilities:
- This position will develop over time to include the following:
- Assessing the current risks, liabilities and opportunities of an organisation
- Working with the client to develop and implement a risk management plan to reduce the incidents of claims
- Working with the client to develop a loss control program to mitigate the costs of claims
- Providing claims and injury management assistance
- Looking for ways to enhance and evolve the Risk Management and Loss Control Model
- Building preferred supplier relationships
- Developing and converting new business leads
