Accountant

Baker Advice Group is seeking an Accountant to join our friendly team. 

We partner with clients to help achieve their goals. Providing clients with a full suite of Accountants and Financial Advisers along with our partners in Lending, Baker Advice Group ensures that whatever you are trying to achieve, we will strive to get you there by aligning our client's goals and objectives with their vision and purpose.

You will be responsible for the preparation of financial statements, tax returns and business activity statements for all business entities, as well as assisting with the management of our client base across a variety of industries, identifying compliance concerns and opportunities as they arise, and researching and providing advice on technical matters.

• A degree qualification
• XPM and Xero experience (preferred)
• Previous experience in other cloud-based accounting programs is highly regarded. Any other accounting software knowledge would also be a bonus.
• Broad knowledge of Australian tax fundamentals
• Exposure to or management of clients
• High level of interpersonal skills
• Ability to work autonomously to achieve outcomes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Initiative with the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to build and maintain client relationships
• A high level of attention to detail and accuracy, and a strong technical focus
• Enthusiasm and self-motivation
• Strong business development skills
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Demonstrate use of initiative to think outside the box for client solutions
