Position Summary:
We are seeking highly motivated Full-Time Graduate Accountants to join our team based at our head office in the West Perth office. The Accountant’s primary responsibility will be supporting the Manager in the timely and accurate completion of internal financial functions and reports, including balance sheet and month-end journals.
Position Responsibilities:
Accurately prepare income tax returns for individuals.Accurately prepare financial statements and tax returns of self-managed superannuation funds (“SMSF”).Accurately prepare management accounts, bank reconciliations and BAS.Organise your workflow and work within allocated job budgets.Update Xero job statuses accordingly.Record your time throughout the day using Xero Practice Manager (XPM) and ensure your timesheet is completed before leaving each day.Follow AAG documented processes to ensure work and work products are consistent.Liaise with the ATO and other regulatory bodies as required.Liaise with auditors regarding SMSF audit queries.Use our electronic accounting systems, such as Xero, MYOB, Quickbooks, DEXT, BGL and Futrli to process your work.Undertake regular training to maintain your technical taxation knowledge and, at times, train other team members.Regularly review our systems and make suggestions for updates and improvements.Maintain positive working relationships with others, both internally and externally.Attend to all other activities, tasks and responsibilities as requested.Working with the Client Care team as required in regard to client needs.Team Meetings:
Actively participate in the team’s weekly Pipeline Meeting and attend to allocated tasks;Actively participate in the team’s daily Team 10@10 Meetings to ascertain tasks to be completed that day, follow through on tasks outstanding from the previous business day and know what other Team Members are doing;As a successful Graduate Accountant, you will have:
ESSENTIAL:
- An Accounting Degree is essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to complete tasks within required timeframes to meet AAG, client and ATO deadlines.

- Logical thinking, problem-solving skills and sound mathematical skills.
- Ability to complete self-directed tasks when necessary.
- Proficient in the use of our non-accounting systems such as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Apple Mail and Daylight).
