About the role

We are currently looking for an experienced Accountant to join our Finance team in Brisbane. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone that is looking to develop their career and continuously challenge themselves. Responsibilities are varied and can include reviewing financial performance to find opportunities for business growth, auditing financial documents and procedures, reconciliation of bank statements and calculating tax payments are some of the duties you will find yourself doing within this role.

Additional duties will include:

• Prepare management accounts for monthly review including financial analysis.
• Analysis of revenue and expenditure trends.
• Review debtor reporting to assess collection performance.
• Review financial commitments and accounts payable aging.
• Maintaining and updating fixed asset records.
• Assist in preparation of job costing and tracking reports.
• Assist in cash flow and overhead forecasting.
• Ensure head contract payment claims are invoiced accurately.
• Calculate taxes and assist in preparation of BAS/IAS.

About you

Your attention to detail and motivation to succeed, along with your sense of urgency to your work, carrying out daily duties with the utmost care will see you excelling in this role. You are a commercially minded individual and have a demonstrated ability to build rapport within the business.

As well as this you will:

• Have a bachelor's degree in accounting/finance.
• Be agile – we are a fast-moving business with changing priorities.
• Working towards or completed your CPA or CA.
• Have advanced excel skills.
• Be able to work effectively within a team to ensure workload is prioritised to achieve daily objectives.
• Experience in the construction industry and the use of Jobpac would be highly regarded.
