Task & Responsibilities• Assist in formulating budgetary and accounting policies.
• Assist in financial statements for owners, management and governing and statutory bodies.
• Conduct financial investigations, prepares reports, undertaking audits and advises on matters such as the purchase and sale of businesses, mergers, capital financing, suspected fraud, insolvency and taxation.
• Examine/ monitor operating costs and income and expenditure.
• Provide assurance about the accuracy of information contained in financial reports and compliance with statutory requirements.
• Assist the accounting manager with financial and taxation advice on business structures, plans and operations.
• Support preparation of tax returns for lodgments
• Manages funds.
• Introduce and maintains accounting systems and advises on the selection and application of computer-based accounting systems.
• Maintain internal control systems.
• Assist in appraise cash flow and financial risk of capital investment projects.
• Preparation of projected monthly, quarterly, and annual budget target plans, its variance analysis and providing commentary on financial figures.
• Accounting of daily receipts and payment details, and ensuring bank reconciliation, credit card reconciliations and employee expense reimbursements.
• Tax payment, record maintenance, reconciliation and filing with the government bodies on monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register, calculation of deprecation and booking the same.
• Preparing accounting entries, compliance-based auditing, producing accounting information, record keeping, compliance reports and analysis.
• Working in conjunction with external accountants and statutory auditors to resolve financial year end issues.
Qualification & Experience• Proven experience (minimum two years) as an Accountant or relevant role
• Security Industry experience crucial
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with relevant software systems i.e. Microsoft office, outlook etc.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks, work under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines.
• Solid understanding of key accounting principles and controls in place
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 with advanced excel skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work with confidential information and maintain confidentiality.
• Thorough knowledge of labor relations and laws.
• Knowledge of Accounting Principles.
• Taxation Knowledge.
• Bachelor’s in accounting/finance or equivalent.
