The Client:
Aspire Partners Pty Ltd is a privately owned and totally independent accounting practice, based in Camberwell in Victoria. They specialise in providing year round accounting and taxation advices for small business clients as well as servicing individuals and other business entities requiring end of year taxation assistance.
This is for a full time role with an annual salary between $70,000 to $75,000 plus superannuation. The incumbent will manage an assigned client portfolio with regular client contact and will be responsible to provide complete range of services listed below.
The Responsibilities:
- Preparing financial statements for presentation to boards of directors, management, shareholders, and governing and statutory bodies.
- Analysing of data to determine company's financial health.
- Processing accounts and outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Financial analysis and reporting, including management reports.
- Providing financial and taxation advice on business structures, plans, and operations.
- Performing day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivable data
- Maintain Financial Databases and other applications.
- Assist with salary packaging employee benefit payments and liaise with Payroll personnel to ensure benefits are accurately recorded and processed.
- Ensure accurate allocation of costs and up-to-date general
- Liaising with clients and assisting them to meet their accounting and tax obligations.
- Providing solutions to our clients on current business and financial conditions
- Providing accounting services including month end close, processing relevant journals, balance sheet, intercompany processing, revenue analysis and statutory accounts production.
- Preparing ASIC report and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations
- Helping clients solve their tax issues and providing technical suggestions with the usage of accounting software such as XERO and MYOB
- Contribute towards process improvement and implementation and ensuring client confidentiality and privacy, etc.
The Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field majoring in accounting as a prerequisite.
- Must have at least 3 years' accounting experience in a professional/commercial capacity gained within Australia
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
- At least 2 years' commercial experience with accounting software, including but not limited to Xero, QuickBooks, MYOB, and BGL.
- Must have 2 years' intermediate knowledge and experience with company income tax and GST
- At least 2 years' commercial experience with statutory reporting for BAS, Annual reports, ASIC and ATO reporting
