Accountants Assistant – Family Law

CE Family Law is a specialist Family Law firm in Bay Street, Brighton.
What will the Accounts Assistant role involve?
- Generate and send invoices
- Handle account queries
- Negotiate prompt payment on overdue accounts
- Receipts and reconciliation of client accounts
- Setup of payments from Client Trust Accounts
- Entering Supplier invoices
- Assisting with answering phone calls
- Assisting the Practice Manager with IT & new staff setup
- Cost compliance as per Company Policy
The role is three days per week, and work hours are negotiable; Wednesday and Friday are the preferred days in the office, with one day working from home, if desired. You will report to the Practice Manager and work with the Accounts Clerk.
What do you need to be successful in this role?
- Minimum three years of book-keeping experience, ideally in a law firm.
- Previous trust accounting experience would be highly regarded.
- A high level of attention to detail.
- A good command of computers and IT and experience with MYOB and Practice Evolve are desirable.
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
