ABOUT THE ROLE
PERSOLKELLY are seeking an Accountant on behalf of our client who is in the Local Government Council. This role is based in Oran Park. The primary purpose of this role is to maintain Council's Section 7.11 Developer Contributions registers and provide assistance to customers and internal staff relating to Section 7.11 calculations. The position also contributes to corporate
reporting improvements and provides broader assistance to the management accounting team in relation to the Annual Budget and Long Term Financial Plan.
ESSENTIAL:
- Tertiary qualifications (or commenced) in an accounting / finance related discipline,
- Extensive knowledge and experience in applying accounting policies and procedures,
- Excellent research, analytical and problem solving skills (including reconciliation skills)
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal),
- Expert knowledge and application of Microsoft Office products (particularly financial spreadsheets),
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment,
- Proven ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
DESIARABLE:
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Section 7.11 developer contributions accounting procedures,
- Experience in the use of the Civica Authority application and Budget Software
