Our client, based on the western side of the CBD, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts and Administration Officer to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial operations and ensure smooth administrative processes.
Your new role
Your new role will see you:
- Process payments and financial transactions to suppliers promptly.
- Reconcile invoices.
- Maintain customer accounts.
- Generate invoices using the billing system.
- Collect payments and post receipts in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of supplier and customer information.
- Manage invoice mailbox and ensure timely responses.
- Assist with data entry and filing.
- Collaborate with the team on administrative tasks.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in the role, you will especially have:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable and administration.
- Background in shipping or freight forwarding would be advantageous but not essential.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to handle large volumes of data accurately.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and accounting software.
