Accounts and Administration Assistant

About the role
Key bookkeeping responsibilities include but not limited to
- Carry out day to day banking reconciliation
- Accounts receivable
- Prepare and lodge quarterly BAS
- Prepare and analyse financial reports and monitor cashflow
- Assist with weekly payroll
- Annual Financial Reporting QBCC
- Insurance calculations and renewals
Key administration responsibilities include but not limited to
- Assist the office manager and team with general administrative duties
- Data entry and processing of work orders
- Processing and integration of Service invoices
- Incoming and outgoing phone calls and emails
- Scheduling of tasks
- Ensure compliance is met for all employees and sub-contractors by ensuring inductions are up to date, licences are valid and site-specific requirements are met
- Assist in identifying and improving internal systems and procedures
- Communicate effectively and promptly with Clients, Internal staff and Field Service Technicians
- Maintain appropriate response times to carrying out high priority tasks
- Follow-up on outstanding admin-related issues with customers and internal staff
- Build and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers
The ideal candidate would possess the following:
- Bookkeeping experience
- Knowledge of MYOB AccountRight
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills including intermediate level Excel
- Strong analytical skills coupled with high attention to detail
- Highly professional and “can do” attitude
- Be a motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and also as part of a team
- Have the ability to efficiently self-manage workload
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Be punctual, reliable and presentable
