The JBS Beef City Feedlot is part of the integrated Beef City facility consisting of farming, feedlot and processing operations. The cattle are walked from the feedlot to the plant, minimising stress, carbon emissions and transportation costs while simultaneously improving eating quality.
Ideally located in the prime grain and cattle producing region of the Darling Downs, 35km west of Toowoomba, the 26,500 head capacity feedlot has a strong reputation for producing high quality grain fed beef for key domestic and international customers, and employs approximately 50 team members.
JBS also has its livestock transport operations based at Beef City Feedlot to facilitate cattle movements between all the feedlot and processing sites.
About the Role:
We are currently looking to employ a highly motivated, experienced self-starter to join our team and provide valuable support to the Feedlot Operations. The role is classified as Level 3 of the Clerical Award and is permanent part-time 30 hours per week. The role of Feedlot Clerk reports to the Admin Supervisor and is an integral function of the Administration team. Responsibilities
- Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders & Good Receipting;
- Commodity Sales Order creation;
- Weekly commodity usage data entry;
- Systems reconciliation;
- Backup support for payroll processing;
- Backup support for weighbridge functions;
- Provide administrative support to site;
- Additional tasks as directed by the Administration Supervisor.
Criteria:
- Highly developed time management skills and an ability to meet deadlines;
- Experience with web-based programs;
- Competent computer skills in Word and Excel;
- SAP experience preferred but not essential;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills;
- High levels of self-motivation and enthusiasm;
- Commitment to continuous improvement;
- Be methodical and detail orientated.
