Our client is a dynamic and innovative poultry supplier to retail markets, based in Mareeba QLD. We are currently seeking an experience and well organized Administration Assistant with a background in HR or recruitment to join the team on a 12-month contract.
Job Description:
The Administrative Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our office, with a particular focus on HR-related tasks. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills and a strong ability to multitask. This position is ideal for someone looking to expand their experience in both administrative and human resources functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office.
- Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports and internal communications
- Organize and schedule meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements.
- Develop and maintain a filing system, both electronic and physical.
- Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
- Coordinate office procedures and assist in the implementation of new practices.
- Support the HR department with recruitment processes, including job postings, resume screening, and coordinating interviews.
- Assist in onboarding new employees
- Maintaining databases including vSure, Card Exchange & Titan, administrative duties will also be required.
- Liaise with the Labour Coordinators regarding any vacancies within the business
- Maintain candidate database
- Undertake administration duties such as answering calls, emails, filing and photocopy
- Preparing letters of offer requests for agency to Company transfers
- Prepare expressions of interests for internal/external positions
- Previous background in Human Resources or Recruitment is favorable
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills

- Problem solving abilities
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
