The JBS Beef City Feedlot is part of the integrated Beef City facility consisting of farming, feedlot and processing operations. The cattle are walked from the feedlot to the plant, minimising stress, carbon emissions and transportation costs while simultaneously improving eating quality. Ideally located in the prime grain and cattle producing region of the Darling Downs, 35km west of Toowoomba, the 26,500 head capacity feedlot has a strong reputation for producing high quality grain fed beef for key domestic and international customers and employs approximately 50 team members.
About the Role
Our JBS Beef City Feedlot is currently recruiting an experienced Administration Assistant (Level 3 Clerical Award) to join our team in a part-time capacity (30 hours per week). Reporting to the Admin Supervisor, the Admin Assistant plays an integral function of the Feedlot Administration team and will require someone with a professional work ethic and motivated by achieving company goals.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Purchase requisitions, purchase orders and goods receipting
- Creating commodity sales orders
- Data entry of weekly commodity usage
- Systems reconciliation
- Backup support for payroll processing
- Backup support for weighbridge functions
- General administrative support to site
- Ad hoc duties as instructed by the Admin Supervisor
About You
- Highly developed time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
- Previous experience with web-based programs
- Intermediate computer skills specifically with MS Office (Word and Excel)
- SAP experience preferred but not essential
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic
- Committed to continuous improvement
- Methodical and detail orientated
