We are seeking an Accounts Officer to join our passionate, committed and tenacious team to oversee all financial functions of the company including all monetary transactions, payroll, reporting and systems whilst ensuring compliance with legislative requirements.
The ideal candidate will have an understanding and depth of experience utilising financial software, knowledge and experience of bookkeeping practices and Payroll systems, and ability to manage all accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions as well as prepare required financial reports.

Key Accountabilities:
- Assist with preparation of budgets and oversee the maintenance and development of Dynamo Fitness Equipment financial coding processes and monetary systems.
- Using Xero, manage all accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions within required timeframes.
- Process invoices and reconcile daily, monthly and yearly transactions.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly financial reports including Profit and Loss statements.
- Prepare and coordinate payroll details and ensure timely and accurate payment of all staff in accordance with their entitlements on a fortnightly basis.
- Develop and implement document management processes to ensure Finance records are accurately stored and current.
- Assist on the coordination of all aspects of the employee’s lifecycle including the end-to-end recruitment process, induction and termination.
- Contribute to the innovation and continuous improvement of business processes, including financial systems, financial policy and procedure development and opportunities for income generation/savings.
- Other duties as required or directed by Directors.
Selection Criteria
Essential:
- Minimum 3 years experience within a similar role
- High level knowledge of relevant financial legislation, policies and procedures.
- Demonstrated experience in finance administration and working knowledge of general accounting principles of creditors, debtor, payroll, accounting to trail balance, GST and FBT.
- High level bookkeeping and data entry skills using accounting software.
- Demonstrated high level analytical, problem solving, time management and organisational skills
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Ability to contribute as a member of a team and also work independently whilst handling multiple projects
Desirable:
- Tertiary qualification or equivalent in HR, Finance or Business Management.
- Knowledge of Health and Fitness Equipment Products and Health and Fitness Industry.
