In support of our growing business our finance team are actively seeking an experienced accounts professional to manage our payroll & support our accounts function. The successful candidate will be providing a pro-active customer focused service to employees and customers alike. They will be highly organised, able to multi-task, be process driven, and able to deal with highly sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner.
This is a part-time role, based at our Maddington office. The right candidate will be offered a competitive salary and the opportunity to work with leaders in the construction industry. The span of hours is flexible, with the option to work school hours available.
Key Payroll Responsibilities:
- Administer a fortnightly payroll for 50+ employees, in compliance with the applicable awards and legislation, and Company policies.
- Detailed time sheet entry, ensuring hours are costed to correct jobs and cost centres.
- Monthly reconciliations and payments of PAYG, superannuation & payroll tax.
- Modern Award interpretation, ensuring Company pay structures adhere to current legislation and award requirements.
- Maintain all personal records in line with regulatory requirements.
- Resolve all payroll queries in a timely manner, offering necessary support and assistance to employees and Managers alike.
Key Accounts Responsibilities:
- Assist with accounts payable function including invoice entry, credit card reconciliations, expense claims, and supplier payments.
- Resolve all supplier invoice queries in a professional and timely manner.
- Assist Accountant with month end processes, cash flow management and ad hoc reporting.
Essential Criteria:
- Formal Qualification in Payroll / Human Resources desirable.
- Experience using Databuild financial software, and/or Employment Hero Payroll software advantageous.
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent organisation skills with the ability to plan, organise and prioritise work to meet critical deadlines.
- The ability to work both independently and within a small team environment.
