About the role
The Accounts and Treasury Officer is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions as well as the provision of treasury support in accordance with SRA policies and procedures. Support the delivery of SRA’s annual budget process.
- Manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Ledgers.
- Execute Accounts Payable processing.
- Execute Accounts Receivable processing.
- Administration of HappyFox, a job queue tool receives all accounts mail electronically.
- Maintain Bank accounts, corporate cards, card applications, upload card transactions, monitor timely submission of expenses, check appropriateness of supporting documents on expense reports.
- Maintain daily bank reconciliation for working account.
- Maintain daily cashflow/forecast for working account and investments.
- Support to the treasury function and activity.
- Develop and deliver purchasing training and procedure documents.
- Report on non-compliance with any current receivables, purchasing and expense management guiding principles.
- Review GST coding of payables and receivables for BAS reporting.
- Assist with audits, and other projects as required.
- Ad-hoc tasks as required.
It is essential for the incumbent to demonstrate experience and/or knowledge in the following:
- Minimum 3 years recent experience in corporate Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
- High level literacy and numeracy skills.
- High attention to detail accompanied with strong organisational skills.
- Flexibility in accommodating frequent changes in operational priorities.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, in particular Excel.
- Strong communications skills, autonomy and self-sufficiency.
- Ability to adopt considerable initiative in undertaking a more diverse range of tasks, and provide solutions to non-routine problems.
