Grapeworks Tanium is a well-established business specialising in the supply of quality consumables, equipment and machinery to the wine, spirits and beverage industry across Australia. With an enviable client base, Grapeworks Taniums' range includes everything from cellar items, oenological products, to high end top of bottle packaging through to equipment for fruit, receival, processing, bottling & packing of the finished product.
About the role
Everything we do has the customer in mind and this includes how we manage our Finance function. There will be a considerable amount of interaction with customers in this role along with accountability for internal accounting processes. This is a part time, office based role approximately 20 hrs per week across at 3 days with flexibility to chose the hours that work for you. The ideal candidate would have the ability to work Mondays and add additional hours if and when required.
Reporting to the Finance Accounts Manager, you'll be responsible for completing receipts and payments. Tasks include maintaining accurate A/R, A/P and ensuring data accuracy for customer, supplier and internal transactional records. You’ll also be responsible for debtor management. The role provides plenty of diversity, opportunities to learn and extend yourself within our business.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Providing accurate financial transactions including A/R and A/P;
- Preparation of data for management reports;
- Prepare, review and collate financial documents and analyse results for accuracy;
- Management of finance/accounts inbox actioning requests accordingly or forwarding as required;
- Providing assistance to customers including processing customer remittances such as manual credit card payments;
- Managing debtors and creditors including liaising directly with customers; and
- Being a second point of contact for all incoming calls.
About you
We are seeking someone with a drive for solutions who leaves no task undone. Attention to detail and exceptional organisation is a must. This role requires a person with excellent communication and phone mannerisms, proficient computer / email / data entry skills, able to take direction but also work with initiative along with good overall knowledge of finance principles and practices.
It’s also critical you have a genuine, honest and ethical approach to all facets of business and customer communication if you are to succeed at Grapeworks Tanium. You’ll also need to have a can do attitude where no job is too big or too small. To become part of the team, there’s a few skills you should have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Finance with experience in a busy commercial organisation is preferred
- Experience in providing accurate financial transactions including A/R, A/P.
- Highly organised, ability to multitask, manage timelines and complete tasks to a deadline
- Sound knowledge of MS Office (particularly Excel) and accounting software
- Solid numerical aptitude and ability to prepare, review and collate financial documents, complete mathematical calculations and analyse results for accuracy
- Highest level of professional integrity with the ability to maintain confidentiality
- Team player who also enjoys working autonomously
- A service mindset including active listening, proactive problem-solving and effective follow-up and follow-through
- Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills
- Drive, enthusiasm and a proactive, positive mindset with a strong work ethic and a committed and mature outlook
