Accounts Manager - AEP

Anderson Environment and Planning (AEP) is a team of approx. 60 staff that provides environmental consulting services and advice to a broad range of clients throughout NSW, our offices are based in Newcastle and Sydney. Due to growth in company size, we are seeking an individual who is skilled in accounts administration to join us.
About the role
Reporting to the Office & Finance Manager, the Accounts Manager will play a pivotal role in managing and ensuring accuracy of our Accounts Receivable system, including all aspects of invoice generation and debtor’s management. Duties will also include assisting our Office & Finance Manager as required in payroll and general administration duties.
This is a permanent part time role working approx. 20hrs per week (negotiable), with flexible working conditions. We are happy to discuss any suitable working arrangement with good candidates.
Salary will be based on demonstrated competencies + 11%pa super. Tell us what you are worth and why!
Key responsibilities
- Maintaining debtors accounts;
- Liaise with customers concerning outstanding accounts;
- Maintain accurate client contact details in accounting software;
- Escalate any overdue accounts to management;
- Raising invoices in Vantagepoint software (training will be provided if needed);
- Work with our project managers and senior management teams to ensure invoicing process is maintained;
- EOM reporting on outstanding debtors accounts.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in a similar position.
- Cert III in Financial Services or above / or have the ability to demonstrate equivalent experience.
- Experience in accounts receivable.
- High level of attention to detail both in accounts processing and administration duties.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills – understanding the importance of picking up the phone and developing relationships.
- Demonstrated competence with Microsoft Office products and Xero accounting software.
- Experience in Vantagepoint project management software is desirable but not essential. Ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems is required.
- Relaxed personality and ability to have a laugh.
