Position purpose Responsible for managing and maintaining the organization’s key accounting records. Day-to-day activities include payable and receivable transactions and fortnightly payroll.
Main tasks:

- Generating weekly/fortnightly invoicing.
- Tightly follow up on outstanding debts with clients.
- Managing accounts receivable and payable.
- Set up new suppliers and clients.
- Managing accounts email and dealing with queries from clients and stakeholders.
- Expense management
- Process and arrange payments for supplier invoices.
- Manage and resolve supplier queries on outstanding payments.
- Creating new staff profile on Xero system.
- Process fortnight payroll · Preparation for superannuation lodgement.
- Management with timesheet queries and questions.
- Proceeding staff reimbursements.
- Cross-check and control service agreements, quotes, purchase orders.
- Manage and control weekly client budget.
- Manage and control petty cash.
- Managing company asset registration.
- Journal processing and general ledger maintenance.
- Assist with preparation for BAS, IAS lodgement.
- Liase with external taxation accountant in terms of taxation issues.
- Generate weekly cash flow, AR & AP reports to director.
- Month-end closing process.
- Generate EOM reports to director.
- Supervise the junior bookkeeper on accounts team.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to ensure continual improvement to the finance team’s procedures.

Qualifications and Experiences:
- Degree in Accounting or similar qualifications
- Experience in a similar role for minimum 3 years.
- Proficient MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc) and Xero accounting system
- Must have high attention to details, be organized and able to meet deadlines.
- High personal and professional standards
- Ability to work under pressure and 2 days' work not the same.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
- Experience in NDIS area is desirable.
