Cathara Consulting is an Australian-based Consulting firm specialising in Business Transformations and Technology Consulting & Resourcing Services.
We are seeking an experienced Administration/Finance Officer to work with our client. The successful candidate will be working with a busy and friendly ICT procurement team supporting purchasing, invoicing and contract requirements. This exciting opportunity is for a period of 6-months initially with extension options available.
Duties:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following activities:
- Prepare purchase requisitions ensuring all ICT purchases comply with corporate directions and/or contractual requirements and ensure budget provision for all goods/services prior to being procured
- Process invoices including investigation and resolution of queries in liaison with internal and external clients against approved amounts
- Manage and maintain processes for all purchasing, invoicing and contract requirements
- Assist in the on-boarding of new resources including coordinating relevant checks, establishing IT accounts, id cards, inductions, training etc
- Manage and maintain a contractor resource register ensuring all resources are renewed in accordance with contract management requirements
- Monitor the budget and expenditure and prepare end-of-month/end-of-year reports including accruals, prepayments, etc
- Work with new and existing suppliers in resolving queries, issues etc regarding ICT goods/services
Skills and Experience:
Essential Skills:
- Experience in procurement management including adherence to policies, processes etc
- Experience in financial management both operational and capital
- Experience in Excel spreadsheets, data analysis and end-of-month/end-of-year reconciliation procedures
- Understanding of contract management activities including variations etc
- Experience in general office administration activities including credit card/cabcharge voucher reconciliation etc
- High attention to detail and an ability to prioritise own work
- Demonstrated ability to confidently work autonomously, as well as collaboratively among a close knit team
- Ability to work proficiently in a high volume environment
- Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in the use of an asset management system (Maximo)
You will need to provide a clean police clearance and be able to reside in Darwin for the duration of the contract.
