ACCOUNTS OFFICER
Wajarri Enterprises Limited (WEL) is the corporate arm for the Wajarri Yamaji Aboriginal Corporation, established for the purpose of generating income producing assets and enterprise for the benefit of the Wajarri Group. WEL’s current business is focussed on management and contracting of indigenous engagement, equipment hire, holiday park management and camp facility operations and management. WEL is currently seeking an experienced Accounts Officer to join our team based in Geraldton, offering an attractive salary with salary sacrifice opportunities.
The Role
Reporting to the Officer/Finance Manager this position is responsible for supporting the effective delivery of finance functions, including all aspects of accounts payable and receivable.
Essential Criteria
- 2-3 years' experience in a similar role/s.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and set priorities, undertake new tasks quickly and meet deadlines.
- Sound understanding of confidentiality.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs.
- Current WA ‘C’ class licence.
- Current Police Check (or ability to obtain).
Desirable Criteria
- Proficient working with Xero.
- Previous experience working with Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander People.
