Jason is seeking an organised, efficient, confident with attention to detail person to join our Finance team as an Accounts Receivable (AR) Officer.
About the role
This is a fast-paced role, working within a close-knit team.
Reporting to the Financial Controller your duties include but are not limited to:
- Processing ne account applications including credit checks and customer establishment.
- Maintain Customer records.
- Daily bank reconciliation, receipt, and allocation of payments.
- Daily banking.
- Debtor Management; including:
- outstanding payment collection.
- customer statements.
- remittance reconciliations.
- Bank reconciliations.
- Assist with month end AR reporting.
- First point of call with internal/external AR enquiries.
- Actively participate in refining and optimizing internal accounting procedures.
- Assist Financial Controller on ad hoc duties.
About You
You have experience in a similar role and working within a team-based environment. You are also self-motivated and work seamlessly in both autonomous and group environments. You have a passion for finance, take pride in your work and aim to deliver excellence and improve.
Your positive and friendly attitude alongside your communication skills allows you to blend into the team effortlessly.
The successful candidate will have proven experience and skill set, including:
- 1+ years of experience in an Accounts Receivable/ similar role.
- Sound knowledge of end-to-end AR and credit control.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Extensive experience with customer service.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Well-developed time management skills.
- Intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Skills
