About the role
As our Assistant Accountant you will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the Disability & Home Care team. Reporting directly to the Division Manager, you will assist in various accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.
Tasks include but are not limited to:

• Ensuring the accuracy of information and consistency of record-keeping on company’s internal accounting systems
• Maintain accurate financial records and provide regular reports to the leaders
• Performing Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable duties
• Maintain debt prevention activities
• Responsible for all invoicing
• Monitoring and chasing debtors
• Liaising with stakeholders/participants to recoup debt
• Reconciling payments
• Allocation and correct recording of expenses
• Managing participants funding using PACE & NDIS claiming.
• Be available to our internal and external stakeholders to answer queries and provide support as needed
• Financial reporting and auditing

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• High energy and a great work ethic
• Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Exceptional time management skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
• Ability to take initiative and work within a supportive team environment
• 2 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
• Proficiency in Xero
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
