About the role Join AEMO as an Accounts Payable, where you’ll be at the heart of our financial operations, serving as a crucial link between AEMO and our vendors and contributes. Your role focuses on activities such as daily invoice processing, executing vendor payments, and managing reconciliations. You’ll also drive continuous improvement, streamlining processes for efficiency and consistency. You are someone who is keen to pick up work and learn quickly and has experience in a manual environment.
This is 12 months fixed term contract with flexibility to be based in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide or Perth.
What you will be doing
- Conduct weekly payment runs for domestic, international, and expense reimbursements, including issuing remittance advices.
- Ensure precise manual processing of supplier invoices.
- Track and follow up on approvals and purchase orders to streamline payment processes.
- Perform statement reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
- Manage aged creditors, conducting analysis and generating reports.
- Process journals as needed to maintain accurate financial data.
What you will bring to the role
- Experience working in Accounts Payable end to end function with highly manual, high volume and fast paced environment.
- Have accounting exposure with an understanding of journals and their impact on reporting.
- Display a high level of proactivity, initiative, and adaptability.
- Showcase robust communication, administrative, and time management abilities.
- Exhibit excellent data entry skills with a focus on speed and accuracy.
