Job description

The key purpose of this role is to work independent and provide consistent, high quality and timely accounts support and advice. The incumbent is expected to promptly pay accounts, maintain and improve Accounts Payable systems and procedures, and ensure Accounts Payable and petty cash issues are effectively managed.

This role is a Fixed term contract from 22 July to 6 September 2024, working 3 days per week while the current incumbent is on leave.  Handover will commence from 22 July 2024 and then the following week the role will be independent.

The successful applicant must have:

  • Well-developed knowledge with a minimum of one years’ experience (3 years desirable) of Accounts Payable and cash handling procedures including controls, and practical application in a business environment.
  • An understanding of accounting concepts, cash office or cash handling is an advantage.
  • Comprehensive understanding of manual and computerised accounting systems.
  • Knowledge of the SYNERGETIC software School package will be desirable but not compulsory.
  • VCE or equivalent study essential.
  • Must hold a current Employee Working with Children Check or be willing to obtain.
  • National Police History Check (Obtained within the last 6 months).
