Public Sector People is excited to partner with a prominent Local Council in the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne. Our client is seeking a skilled Accounts Payable Officer to join their dynamic team on a temporary basis. As an Accounts Payable Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of financial processes within the organization.
Key responsibilities include
- Removing duplicate vendors/suppliers to streamline procurement procedures.
- Deactivating suppliers inactive for a designated period, optimizing vendor management.
- Adding addresses to vendor profiles for improved communication and logistics.
- Verifying ABN numbers to uphold compliance standards and financial accuracy.
- Previous experience in a similar role within Government, Healthcare, Education, NFP, or the Public Sector.
- Extensive Accounts Payable and Data Cleansing experience in a high-volume setting.
