Savco Vegetation Services provides domestic and contract tree lopping and weed control services in Queensland.
Savco is seeking a full time Accounts Payable/ Assistant Accountant to join our rapidly expanding company. This role is responsible for the entire accounts payable function of the business, from data entry to processing payment of creditors and provide assistance to our Financial Controller.
The successful candidate will have experience in accounts payable (including GST and general ledger allocations), proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks & Xero (desirable), effective organisational skills, high level of accuracy in data entry and be able to meet strict deadlines.
Responsibilities of the role include but not limited to:
- Provide assistance to the Financial Controller
- Total management of accounts payable function
- Procurement management (purchasing card reconciliations, work orders, management of new and existing accounts)
- Maintaining payment schedule and processing weekly payment runs
- Maintenance of motor vehicle hire/purchase leases
- Supporting accounts team
- Filing and other ad hoc accounting tasks as required
- General administrative support for the office and management
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Intermediate computer skills with MS Excel, Office, proficiency in Quickbooks & Xero preferred but not essential
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
- A strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach
