Our client is one of WA's largest civil and mining contractors that requires an Accounts Payable Officer to manage invoices, payments, account reconciliation, vendor relationships, and ensures financial compliance for the organisation.
What you’ll be doing:
- Review and match invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies
- Enter invoices with appropriate general ledger codes and cost centres
- Proactively resolve issues related to invoices, purchase orders, and payments
- Maintain up-to-date records of Accounts Payable transactions
- Monitor Accounts Payable aging reports
- Collaborate to streamline processes, resolve issues, and enhance efficiency
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance
- At least 1 year experience in Accounts Payable
- Proficiency in Accounting Software (eg. MYOB, Xero) and Microsoft Excel
- Experienced in Lightyear system is advantageous
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities
- Effective communication skills with stakeholders, clients and customers
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Commitment to maintain confidentiality and integrity
