Salary Range: $68,513 - $70,662 per annum pending experience

Townsville Catholic Education Office (TCEO) is seeking an experienced and dedicated Accounts Payable Officerto commence from 12 February 2024. This role is a full time, permanent position.
About the role
The Finance Department within Townsville Catholic Education Office (TCEO) provides accounting and business services support to TCEO and catholic schools within the Diocese of Townsville. Reporting to the Senior Accountant – TCEO, the Accounts Payable Officer is responsible, as part of a team, for ensuring timely and accurate processing and payment of vendor invoices. The Accounts Payable Officer will be required to be well versed in good practice of Accounts Payable and procurement functions. The role will demonstrate high level of accuracy and attention to detail as well as the ability to liaise with TCEO staff, school finance staff and vendors concerning financial records and accounts.
Mandatory Criteria
- Current Working with Children Suitability Card - The successful candidate will require a paid Blue Card before commencement as per the No Card, No Start policy developed by Queensland Government
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Ability to travel from time to time within the Catholic Diocese of Townsville
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role in a safe manner.
Desirable Criteria
- Minimum diploma level qualification or equivalent relevant experience and / or education / training.
- Experience using the Technology One CiA financial management system in an Accounts Payable function.
- Accounts payable experience in the education or government sector.
