Accounts Payable Officer

As an Accounts Payable Officer, you will manage supplier invoices, ensure accurate record-keeping, and timely payment processing while adhering to company policies and procedures.

The role:

• Accounts Payable invoice processing; including payment of suppliers, purchase order creation and amendments as required
• Manage depositing of cheques and collection of petty cash
• Engage with internal and external clients and provide advice in relation to processes undertaken by the team
• Contribute to identifying opportunities for improving efficiency and effectiveness of work practices and processes
• Liaise with internal and external clients to answer account payavle queries and provide advice in relation to processes undertaken by the team
• Provide support to all members of the Finance team when required and directed by the Accounts Payable Supervisor
• Adhere to all policies and procedures to ensure compliance with internal processes
• Contribute to identifying opportunities for improving efficiency and effectiveness of work practices and processes

The ideal candidate

• At least 3 years of experience in an Accounts Payable environment
• Proficiency in relevant software and tools, including accounting systems and Excel
• Exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines
• Demonstrated experience in working within and contributing to a high performing team
• Experience in providing customer focussed services
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Good time management skills when dealing with multiple priorities
