Current Opportunity – Accounts Payable Officer
We have a 12-month opportunity for an Accounts Payable Officer to join our national finance team at BDO. The Accounts Payable Officer will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Accounts Payable process, ensuring accurate and timely payments to vendors, suppliers, and service providers.
Key responsibilities:
- Process Accounts Payable transactions accurately and efficiently
- Match invoices and receipts to ensure billing accuracy
- Verify approvals, bank details and coding for payment processing
- Liaise with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and inquiries
- Support month-end closing activities and reconciliations
- Maintain meticulous documentation and records to adhere to BDO’s policies and procedures
What you’ll need to succeed:
- 3+ years of experience in an end-to-end Accounts Payable function
- Experience with Great Plains and Workplace (preferred but not essential)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team
